Flexible method of interfacing with 3rd party systems

 BACnet over IP
 Enhanced Custom Language (TCL)
 Standard IQ configuration modules
Serial auxiliary board option (RS232 or RS485(2/4 wire))
 All standard IQ3 features

I Q3/XNC enables interfacing between the IQ system and 3rd party systems. The functionality can be divided into three sections: System, Firmware, and Hardware. Special additional firmware can be provided by a TCL application; These are created by Trend Interface Specialists (TIS) such as GBC who can provide both bespoke applications and generic applications for commonly used equipment. GBC may provide the application in soft format, or pre-loaded into the IQ3. The application can be tied to one controller or available for general download.

GBC  are delighted to announce that we have now become a Trend Integration Specialist (TIS) Partner.

Information about the TIS's can be found on the Trend Partnernet website.

Spinwave has developed its products to address the unique characteristics of wireless sensor networking. The end result is a wireless product line that is extremely scalable, robust, and easy to deploy and maintain in real world environments. GBC has successfully integrated these sensors into a Trend IQ3 system using RS485 MODbus RTU.

HVG Custom Energy Displays Teekay Controls Limited had to supply a "Bespoke " display panel for their Castle Drogo project in Devon, which was required to show the information as shown on a similar Display to the one pictured. GBC has successfully integrated values from a Trend system into the display using RS232 Serial communications & an IQ3/XNC.

TOSHIBA

GBC has teamed up with RealTime Control Systems & Synapsys Solutions to provide a seamless integration to VRV / VRF systems using a selection of both companies latest innovative products.
Using the SIP & RTD-Net combination, GBC can provide a seamless integration of VRV/VRF air-conditioners into the Trend BMS platform.

GBC has many years of experience in the integration of VRV & VRF systems and is an approved re-seller of RealTime Controls Systems & Synapsys products.

GBC
are particularly focussed on tried & tested reliable interfaces for TOSHIBA, DAIKIN & MITSUBISHI systems, however we have & are able to offer alternative integration solutions to other VRV/VRF systems upon request.

Hardware/Products/Solutions

SIP Daikin RTD/NET + ND350 Meter Solution:
The SIP Daikin solution is one of a range of pre-configured, standardised interface solution packages available for many applications and protocols. They have been developed to help reduce engineering time and costs and to meet the demand for more information and better energy control. These products and solutions, when used in conjunction with a Trend BMS, can help ensure a building complies with latest Part L2 Building Regulations and can contribute to your Carbon Reduction Commitment.

Synapsys has a number of other hardware interface solutions that we may not have mentioned hear, so have a look at their WEB SITE & feel free to give us or them a call, we are happy to assist with the design of your integration solutions into a Trend BMS system.

LTX-RANGE:
The LTX-21 BMS-A/C Interface is a LonWorks to BMS Gateway for integrating package air-conditioning units with Trend Building Management Systems. Provides control of individual units and groups, software master/slave groupings and feedback of unit fault codes and temperatures. Compatible with all Toshiba RAV products using the Toshiba LG1 and RealTime LRC-LG interfaces. Compatible with Mitsubishi, Daikin and Hitachi systems using the RealTime LTX-VCI.

The LTX-51 Modbus to LonWorks A/C Interface is the first of a range of Modbus to LonWorks Gateways designed for interfacing conventional BMS control systems with LonWorks based systems. The LTX-51 is a BMS interface for controlling air-conditioning units. The interface provides a wide range of functionality including individual and master/slave control of units, local user control and unit temperature and fault code feedback. Compatible with Toshiba RAV products using the Toshiba LG1 and RealTime LRC-LG interfaces. Compatible with Mitsubishi, Daikin and Hitachi systems using the RealTime LTX-VCI.

RTD-NET Daikin Modbus Interface:
The RTD-Net is an RS485 Modbus-RTU interface for monitoring and control of Daikin VRV and Skyair ranges of air-conditioners; and VAM and VKM ventilation units. The interface is compatible with all units that have a P1,P2 remote controller network connection and allows control of up to 16 units in a single group. Up to 62 RTD-NETs can be placed on a single RS485 network.

FDP3-BMS Control Interface:
The FDP3 is a low cost monitoring and control interface for Toshiba VRF and Split ranges of air-conditioners. The interface is compatible with all units that have a TCC-NET A,B remote controller network connection. No other network adaptor cards are required even for split A/C units.

RealTime has a number of other hardware interface solutions that we may not have mentioned hear, so have a look at their WEB SITE & feel free to give us or them a call, we are happy to assist with the design of your VRF/VRV integration solution into a Trend BMS system.

BACnet, bringing open solutions together

The IQ3/XNC/BAC Controller provides a flexible way of interfacing the IQ system with 3rd party systems. It utilises both standard IQ configuration modules, and the Trend Custom Language (TCL) to present information from other systems as though it were from an IQ controller. It also allows parameters within the 3rd party system to be adjusted from IQ system Supervisor and Tool software. The optional serial auxiliary board (/SER/) provides an additional RS232 or RS485 (2/4 wire) (or also RS422) port for communicating with other devices.
